Shipping Policy
LandTuff™ ships heavy equipment, skid steer attachments, and related products primarily by LTL freight. Most items are large, heavy, palletized, and require freight carrier delivery rather than standard parcel shipping.
Free Lower 48 Commercial Freight
LandTuff™ offers free standard commercial LTL freight shipping to eligible addresses within the contiguous lower 48 United States.
Free commercial freight generally applies to standard business/commercial delivery locations that can receive freight shipments during normal business hours and have the ability to unload the shipment from the truck.
A qualifying commercial delivery location typically has:
A business name;
regular posted business hours;
tractor-trailer access;
a forklift, loading dock, skid steer, tractor, telehandler, or other safe unloading equipment;
and someone available to receive and inspect the shipment.
Residential, Farm, Limited-Access, and Liftgate Deliveries
Free commercial freight does not automatically include residential delivery, liftgate service, farm delivery, limited-access delivery, inside delivery, remote delivery, or other freight carrier accessorial services.
Additional charges may apply for:
Residential delivery;
farm, ranch, or rural residential delivery;
liftgate service;
limited-access locations;
schools, churches, government facilities, storage units, jobsites, military bases, or restricted-access facilities;
re-delivery;
missed delivery appointments;
address corrections;
carrier storage;
detention;
inside delivery;
or other carrier-imposed accessorial charges.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, residential, liftgate, limited-access, or similar special delivery services may be subject to an additional charge of up to $249 or more depending on carrier charges and delivery requirements.
Buyer Responsibility for Delivery Information
The buyer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address before shipment.
Before ordering, the buyer should notify LandTuff™ if the delivery address is residential, farm/rural, limited access, requires liftgate service, does not have unloading equipment, or may not be accessible by a tractor-trailer.
If incorrect or incomplete delivery information results in additional freight charges, re-delivery fees, storage charges, address correction fees, or other carrier charges, those charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
Unloading Requirements
Most LandTuff™ products are delivered by LTL freight on a pallet, skid, crate, or other freight-safe packaging.
The buyer is responsible for safely unloading the shipment from the truck unless liftgate service has been requested and approved in advance.
Freight carriers are not responsible for unpacking, assembling, installing, moving the item beyond the delivery point, or placing the item in a garage, barn, shop, field, or jobsite.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated shipping and delivery times are not guaranteed. Freight delivery schedules may be affected by carrier availability, weather, holidays, rural routes, terminal delays, appointment scheduling, or other conditions outside of LandTuff™ control.
LandTuff™ will make reasonable efforts to ship orders promptly and provide tracking or freight carrier information when available.
Order Processing
In-stock items typically ship after payment has cleared, order information has been verified, and freight arrangements are completed.
Orders may be delayed if delivery information is incomplete, freight details require confirmation, payment requires review, or additional services such as residential delivery or liftgate service must be arranged.
Freight Inspection at Delivery
The buyer must inspect all freight shipments at the time of delivery before signing the carrier’s delivery receipt.
Before signing, carefully inspect for:
visible damage;
bent, cracked, or broken components;
missing parts;
torn wrapping;
damaged crates or pallets;
shifted freight;
oil leakage;
punctures;
or any signs of mishandling.
If damage is visible, the buyer must clearly note the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing. Notations should be specific, such as “attachment bent,” “pallet broken,” “hydraulic hose damaged,” “crate crushed,” or “freight damaged.”
Writing “subject to inspection” is not enough.
Freight Damage
If freight damage is discovered, the buyer should:
Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing;
take clear photos of the item, packaging, pallet, and carrier paperwork;
keep all packaging and pallet materials;
and contact LandTuff™ immediately.
Failure to inspect the shipment and note visible damage at delivery may limit or eliminate the ability to file a successful freight claim. If the carrier’s delivery receipt is signed without damage notation, the shipment may be considered received in acceptable condition.
Concealed Damage
If concealed damage is discovered after delivery, the buyer must contact LandTuff™ as soon as possible and provide photos, order information, and a description of the damage.
Concealed damage claims are time-sensitive and are subject to carrier rules. LandTuff™ will assist where possible, but claim approval is not guaranteed.
Shipment Refusal
Do not refuse a freight shipment unless the damage is severe or LandTuff™ has instructed you to do so.
Refusing a shipment can create additional carrier fees, storage charges, return freight charges, and claim complications. If there is visible damage, note the damage clearly on the delivery receipt, take photos, and contact LandTuff™ immediately.
Shipping Outside the Lower 48
Free shipping applies only to eligible deliveries within the contiguous lower 48 United States.
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, islands, Canada, Mexico, or other international destinations are not included in free lower 48 freight and require a custom shipping quote.
Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available by appointment when offered. Pickup orders must be scheduled in advance. The buyer is responsible for bringing proper equipment, trailer capacity, straps, chains, binders, and any other materials needed to safely load and secure the product.
LandTuff™ may refuse to load equipment onto unsafe, undersized, or unsuitable vehicles or trailers.
Split Shipments and Backorders
Orders containing multiple items may ship separately depending on product size, freight requirements, warehouse location, or inventory availability.
If an item is backordered or delayed, LandTuff™ will make reasonable efforts to notify the buyer.
Parts Shipping
Replacement parts, wear parts, hydraulic components, hoses, fittings, and smaller items may ship by parcel carrier or freight depending on size, weight, and product type.
Shipping charges, lead times, and availability for parts may vary.
Risk of Loss
Risk of loss, delay, or damage is affected by freight carrier handling and the buyer’s inspection at delivery. The buyer is responsible for properly inspecting and documenting shipments upon arrival.
Questions
Questions about shipping, freight delivery, accessorial charges, unloading requirements, or delivery eligibility should be directed to LandTuff™ before placing an order.
