LandTuff™ Return & Refund Policy
Summary
LandTuff™ accepts returns on eligible unused items within 30 days of delivery. Because our products are heavy freight-shipped skid steer attachments and equipment, all returns must be approved in advance and shipped back by insured freight at the buyer’s expense.
Items that have been installed, connected, used, modified, damaged, or returned in unsellable condition are not eligible for a full refund and may not be accepted for return.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return, the item must be:
Uninstalled, unused, and in new/resellable condition
Free from hydraulic oil contamination, wear, damage, dents, abuse, or modification
Returned with all included parts, hardware, manuals, hoses, fittings, couplers, guards, and accessories
Returned on a proper pallet or freight-safe packaging
Approved by LandTuff™ before the return is shipped
Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery.
Items Not Eligible for Return
We do not accept returns on items that have been:
Installed, mounted, connected, operated, or used
Connected to a hydraulic system
Damaged during installation, testing, use, loading, unloading, or return shipping
Modified, welded, painted, cut, altered, repaired, or disassembled
Returned incomplete or missing included parts/accessories
Special ordered, custom configured, or sold as final sale
Purchased as replacement parts, wear parts, hydraulic components, electrical components, or special-order parts unless approved in writing
Buyer Responsibility for Fitment
The buyer is responsible for confirming compatibility before purchase.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Skid steer quick attach compatibility
Hydraulic flow requirements
Hydraulic pressure requirements
Case drain requirements, if applicable
Coupler size and style
Machine lift capacity
Electrical requirements, if applicable
Overall attachment size, weight, and operating limits
LandTuff™ can provide available specifications, but final fitment confirmation is the buyer’s responsibility.
Freight Returns
Because most LandTuff™ products ship by LTL freight:
The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying return freight
Return shipments must be insured for the full purchase price
The item must be secured to a pallet or crate suitable for LTL transport
Damage caused during return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility
Original outbound freight costs are non-refundable, even if freight was included in the purchase price
Residential pickup, liftgate, limited-access pickup, re-delivery, storage, detention, or carrier accessorial charges are the buyer’s responsibility
Do not ship a return without written authorization from LandTuff™.
Refunds
After the returned item is received and inspected, LandTuff™ will determine refund eligibility.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Refunds may be reduced for:
Missing parts or accessories
Damage
Use, wear, hydraulic connection, oil contamination, or installation marks
Improper packaging
Freight damage during return shipping
Cleaning, repair, repackaging, or restocking costs
Original outbound freight costs
Carrier accessorial fees or other charges caused by incorrect delivery information or failed delivery attempts
If an item is returned used, damaged, incomplete, or no longer sellable as new, the refund may be significantly reduced or denied.
Damaged Freight Deliveries
All freight shipments must be inspected at delivery.
Before signing the delivery receipt, the buyer must inspect the shipment for visible damage, missing items, torn packaging, bent components, broken pallets, or signs of mishandling.
If damage is visible, the buyer should:
Note the damage clearly on the delivery receipt
Take photos before unloading or unpacking
Keep all packaging and pallet materials
Contact LandTuff™ immediately
If freight damage is not noted at delivery, carrier claims may be denied, and LandTuff™ may be limited in its ability to assist.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before shipment. Once an order has been booked with a freight carrier, loaded, or shipped, cancellation may no longer be available, or the buyer may be responsible for any carrier charges already incurred.
Warranty vs. Returns
A return is different from a warranty issue.
Used equipment, installed equipment, hydraulic issues, part failures, or operating concerns after use are handled under the applicable warranty/support process, not as standard returns.
My recommendation for Shopify is that we use a slightly polished version of this, but keep it firm. The biggest protections we need are:
No returns after hydraulic connection/use.
Buyer pays insured LTL return freight.
Original freight is non-refundable even when “free shipping” was included.
Buyer is responsible for fitment.
Refund can be reduced or denied if the unit comes back used/damaged/incomplete.
